HAMSTER Corporation (Head Office: Tokyo-to, Setagaya-ku; CEO: Satoshi HAMADA; referred to below as “HAMSTER”) is happy to announce that “ACA2NEOGEO” series will be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on February 27th 2025, available digitally for Arcade Archives series by HAMSTER.

“ACA2NEOGEO” series to be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S!

HAMSTER Corporation announces the digital release of “ACA2NEOGEO” series. The PlayStation 5 and Xbox series X|S versions of the “ACA NEOGEO” series will be available, in addition to the existing versions for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Windows 10 PC.
The new “ACA2NEOGEO” series will also include additional features. It will be available globally from February 27th, 2025.
*Please note that not all titles in the “ACA2NEOGEO” series include all additional features.

New features for “ACA2NEOGEO” series

In addition to the “ORIGINAL MODE,” “HIGH SCORE MODE,” and “CARAVAN MODE” included in the “ACA NEOGEO” series, “ACA2NEOGEO” series will add new features such as “TIME ATTACK MODE” and “NETWORK MODE.” In “TIME ATTACK MODE” you compete to see who can beat the final boss the fastest stating from the first battle.
In “NETWORK MODE” you can play against friends over the network. This allows you to enjoy even more heated real-time gameplay, just like playing at the arcades back in the day. We hope you enjoy it.

About prices for “ACA2NEOGEO” series

The price for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions will be $9.99(€8.99). However, if you have already purchased PlayStation 4 or Xbox One versions of “ACA NEOGEO” series, you can upgrade it to the PlayStation 5 version for $2.99(€2.99) or the Xbox Series X|S version for 70% off the regular price of $9.99（€8.99）.
Please note that it is not possible to downgrade from the PlayStation 5 version to the PlayStation 4 version or from the Xbox Series X|S version to the Xbox One version.

The first title as “ACA2NEOGEO” series

We will begin distributing “THE KING OF FIGHTERS ’98” as the first title in the “ACA2NEOGEO” series.
“THE KING OF FIGHTERS ’98” is a fighting game released by SNK in 1998.
In the previous installment “KOF ’97”, the story of the “Orochi Saga” reached its exciting conclusion. As a result, the next entry in the series “THE KING OF FIGHTERS ’98” was released as a dream match version of THE KING OF FIGHTERS Series.
It is one of the most popular and well known versions of the game, partially thanks to the many balance changes that received high praises from fans around the world.
